FlyerBonus Program Changes effective 1 November 2017
From November 1, 2017, changes will be made to the FlyerBonus Programme that will impact on the point scale and how points can be accrued in which booking classes. Changes will also be made to the benefits on offer for Priority Members (including holders of a Samui Resident Card, Sukhothai Privilege Card or Trat Privilege Card) described as follows:
I.Revised Bangkok Airways Point Scale
On 1 November 2017, a new scaling system will be introduced across the FlyerBonus programme. All members will see their points total automatically scaled up by a multiple of 50. For example, if your points balance is 200 on 31 October 2017, it will convert to a balance of 10,000 FlyerBonus points on 1 November 2017 (200 points x 50).
The new system will apply to points earned from all activity types on offer by Bangkok Airways and FlyerBonus Programme partners including award redemption, tier qualification and calculating expiring points. The expiry period of all points is not extended as a result of this change and remains subject to the activity date of base points earned.
Revised Bangkok Airways Point Accrual Chart
The revised point accrual chart will be effective from 1 November 2017 and FlyerBonus members will continue to earn points from eligible Bangkok Airways flight activity. Importantly, the introduced revisions will allow for easier-to-comply credit card conversion rates. For example, Bangkok Airways & KTC Co-branded card holders can transfer their points at a rate of 1.5 KTC reward points to 1 FlyerBonus point (previously 750 : 500 10).

Revised Point Earning and Point Redemption on Airline Partners
From 1 November 2017, Members will earn FlyerBonus Points from Airline Partners based on the calculated mile distance between the applicable airports at a rate of 1 FlyerBonus point per mile flown. The FlyerBonus Accrual Chart for Airline Partners will be subject to additional bonuses or discounts subject to the class of travel set by each airline partner.
For travel on connecting flights, flown miles will be calculated for per trip sector. For direct or through flights with one or more intermediate stops (only one flight coupon), flown miles will be calculated from the ticketed origin to the ticketed destination. For travel on round trip flights, flown miles will again be calculated per sector.
From 1 November 2017, the number of award points required for redemption will be based on the revised chart in which a scaling up system has been incorporated.
