FlyerBonus Members and their little compaions to join Youth Education Workshop “Wings for Dreams”

21 July 2023 - Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited celebrates World Youth Skills Day 2023 by organizing a youth education workshop under the name “Wings for Dreams” to offer an opportunity for children and college students to learn about different types of work in the aviation industry through fun, hands-on workshops. This year, participants get a chance to learn about three main functions of the airline business which are flight operations, cabin crew, and corporate social responsibility. The participants get to experience what it’s like to be working in these three functions by visiting a real flight simulation station, meeting up with real flight attendants, and speaking with a CSR team who is behind all the company’s environmental protection projects. One of the main highlights of this workshop was the presence of Yaya Urassaya – the airline’s presenter and Thailand’s most beloved actress, who also attended and participated in all the activities with the students and 3 couples of lucky FlyerBonus Members from FlyerBonus Rewards activity at Bangkok Airways Operations Complex (BAOC), Bang Phli, Samut Prakan.

Mrs. Ariya Prasarttong-Osoth, Executive Committee member and Chairperson of Corporate Social Responsibility, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited commented, “In order to inspire and create an educational opportunity for children who want to pursue their career journey in the aviation industry, we, therefore, have organized this youth educational workshop for the second year. This year we managed to involve our Blue Volunteers team, including our pilots and flight attendants to participate as we would like to encourage the students to learn from real professions. We also introduced “Learning by doing” activities to give a chance to all participants to role-play and have a hands-on pilot experience in a real flight simulator.”

“We had the privilege to have our own president, Captain Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, be a guest speaker in the flight simulator’s cockpit, explaining and teaching how to operate an airplane. Furthermore, we also had our beautiful presenter, Yaya – Urassaya joining our activities, especially our social responsibility workshop where Yaya demonstrated and taught primary students from the Thewa Khlong Trong School in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan, to make DIY notebooks from recycled materials.”
